Neighbours casts new 'young hottie', Matthew Little

Neighbours has welcomed a new resident on Ramsay Street, in the form of Ethan Smith.

TV newcomer Matthew Little, who plays the mysterious character, has already filmed his guest appearance on the Australian soap, and will make his small screen debut in June.

"I had so much fun filming, and everyone was awesome to me and really made me feel welcome," he said.

The 21-year-old asked his brother-in-law Dan Ewing, who plays Heath Braxton in rival soap Home And Away, for tips before he started shooting his scenes.

"Dan was great and obviously knows the pace you work at on a weekly drama," said Matthew.

Matthew's character is set to create some sparks in Ramsay Street, although further details about Ethan are being kept quiet.

"There is an air of mystery to Matthew's character Ethan Smith, who has a connection to one of the show's regular characters that he struggles to keep under wraps. However, the young hottie still manages a romantic interlude," teased Neighbours bosses.
