Caroline Flack to return to Xtra Factor

Caroline Flack is reportedly set to come back to X Factor spin-off show The XTra Factor this year, after being asked by Simon Cowell to return.

The Mirror reports that the mogul assured her the co-hosting job of the ITV2 show was still hers, despite rumours that she was being axed.

However she is likely to be working with a new co-presenter after Olly Murs quit - with 2012 finalist Rylan Clark tipped for the job.

"Getting rid of Caroline and Rylan would feel like starting from scratch," an insider told the paper. "Rylan would bring in lots of comedy."

While Caroline's position on the show seems safe, speculation continues to mount over the future of the show's judging panel - with rumours that Tulisa could be axed.

The N-Dubz singer denied last week that she had been dropped from the show - adding that she and Simon were still on good terms - but admitted she had not yet been asked to return.

Recent reports have suggested that Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh will return for the next series - with Nicole Scherzinger, who mentored James Arthur to victory in the 2012 series, also tipped to reprise her judging role.

Speculation is also rife that Sharon Osbourne could make a comeback to take the fourth slot on the panel.
