Westlife singer Shane Filan has become the latest star to offer his support to Louis Walsh following claims he indecently assaulted a man in a nightclub. The Irish star, whose band is managed by Louis, told the Sunday Mirror that he was with the X Factor judge on the night of the alleged incident, in Dublin's Krystle nightclub. And he said he was certain that Louis was "100 per cent innocent". "I have no doubt about Louis' character," Shane said. "This is not the man I've known for 15 years. I didn't see anything untoward. I've never seen him act inappropriately towards anyone. "Louis, me, my wife and the boys were at a table minding our own business," he added, recalling what he had seen "This guy came up and said he was going to be in a dance TV show. Louis wasn’t talking to the guy any more than the rest of us. I didn’t see him go off with this guy. Not to the toilets or anywhere else." Louis returned to Ireland on Friday to be interviewed by police, and said in a statement that he was "extremely angry" about the claims against him, which were made by an unnamed 24-year-old. "It didn’t happen so there is no case to answer. I am extremely angry that someone is trying to tarnish my name and reputation," he said. "My phone has not stopped ringing with messages of support. I am hoping that this matter will be resolved as quickly as possible."
