There’s no place she’d rather be…

Neighbours has confirmed a special cameo is in the pipeline after revealing British singer Jess Glynne will appear on the soap.

The Rather Be singer is said to have approached the show for a cameo in order to fulfil a ‘bucket list’ ambition, and has been filming scenes Down Under this week.

Sharing the news on Twitter on Friday, the official Neighbours account tweeted: ‘Look who's been shooting scenes on Neighbours today!

‘Keep watching to see the fabulous @JessGlynne rock up on Ramsay Street.’

Jess will be playing herself on the soap and appear in a scene with Stefan Dennis and Bonnie Anderson – aka Paul Robinson and Beatrix Nilsson.

Speaking to the A-List of her cameo, Jess said: ‘I’ve been watching Neighbours since I was a little kid, I grew up with up it, it was always there so it’s a very surreal experience to be here on the set and be actually acting.

‘My family are so, so excited I’m doing it, it’s a huge moment for them. It’s one of those things that I just couldn’t ever imagine doing so I have really had a bucket list moment and to be able to sing on the show is amazing. It was also great to meet the cast.’

Fans were quick to express their excitement on Twitter over Jess’ upcoming appearance.

Even Neighbours veteran Alan Fletcher, aka Karl Kennedy, was thrilled over her cameo.

Sharing a snap of the pair on Instagram, he said: ‘One of the best things about our @neighbours job is we get some amazing guests dropping in. @jessglynne brightened up the day!’
