Strictly Come Dancing star Dani Harmer has landed a new children's series which will feature Jedward. CBBC star Dani, who found fame as Tracey Beaker, will head the cast of her new series Dani's Castle in the new year. The diminutive actress has been wowing fans with her dancefloor skills alongside professional partner Vincent Simone on the BBC1 entertainment show and she is still in contention for this year's glitterball trophy. Dani's new 13-part series will see her inherit a crumbling estate, Bogmoor Castle, after her mysterious Great Aunt Marjorie dies, and is made by the team behind her past show, Dani's House. It will also feature Shannon Flynn, who has appeared in Waterloo Road, as the groundkeeper's daughter, and teenage singer Kieran Alleyne will appear as Dani's long-lost cousin. Executive producer Elaine Sperber said: "Dani Harmer is one of the most exciting and successful young actresses on television and this new project really showcases her unique comedy talents and her growth as a performer." In the new CBBC show, she has to turn around the fortunes of the unloved tourist attraction and contend with a pair of resident ghosts. Former X Factor contestants Jedward - bequiffed Irish twins John and Edward Grimes - take a guest role playing themselves. The show has been filmed on location at Killyleagh Castle in County Down, Northern Ireland.
