Supposedly based on the story of notorious Streatham brothel madam Cynthia Payne, this hugely entertaining British film (starring the brilliant Julie Walters and Emmerdale's Shirley Stelfox) paints a captivating and extremely funny picture of day to day life in a 'disorderly house'. I've used inverted commas there because the way I see it, Walters’ character Christine simply hosts a series of special parties for consenting adults to enjoy lots of erotic fun. Now how can there be anything wrong in that?
