Singing star Robbie Williams has reportedly agreed to return to The X Factor as a co-judge, assisting Sharon Osbourne again in the Judges' Houses round
Sharon Osbourne is returning with a bang to the X Factor and has reportedly just nabbed herself one of the coolest guest judges to help her pick her finalists: Robbie Williams.
X Factor judge Sharon has turned to her 2013 co-judge Robbie to work with her again at her Los Angeles home according to a new report and the pair will be filming together in the coming weeks.
Sharon invited the former Take That star to help to pick three finalists for her Overs category, reports The Sun.
Not only is X Factor favourite Robbie great on the show, but also insiders are reportedly hoping that he'll pull in the viewers as they battle with Strictly Come Dancing.
“Getting Robbie back on the show is a really clever move on the part of Sharon and the producers,” the source said.
“He has a huge fanbase and will attract loads of extra viewers purely from his name. It’s that sort of star quality they need to compete with Strictly.”
Robbie has also previously appeared on the show to give advice to wannabe stars, including One Direction, and has also performed on the show.
“Every time Robbie appears on The X Factor he proves great entertainment value,” the insider said.
“As they never managed to get him to be a full-time judge, this is the next best result.”
It has already been reported that Cheryl Cole will be Simon Cowell’s guest judge in the Judges’ Houses round, with former The Voice coach Ricky Wilson assisting Nicole Scherzinger.
The X Factor returns to ITV on Saturday, August 27, 8.00pm.
