• The TV show is coming to CBS All Access.

• Star Trek: Picard is "coming soon."

The first teaser trailer for Star Trek: Picard was released on Thursday, and it features the return of a legend.

Coming soon to CBS All Access, the teaser introduces audiences to a vineyard at an unknown location, which winds up belonging to Jean-Luc Picard, the former admiral of Starfleet.

"Fifteen years ago, today, you led us out of the darkness," a voiceover says. "You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history. Then, the unimaginable."

The upcoming series will be set 18 years after Picard's last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis, and will see how the character has dealt with the destruction of Romulus, which happened in 2009's Star Trek.

Star Trek: Picard is expected to be a more contemplative show about grief, revealing how Picard went from an admiral to running a vineyard. No release date has been set, but it should be coming to CBS All Access "soon."

In addition to Patrick Star as Jean-Luc Picard, the show also stars Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, and Harry Treadway.
