Strictly Come Dancing

Katie Derham, Judy Murray and Kimberley Walsh among stars taking apart in Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special

It's almost time for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special! And the Beeb has revealed the six celebs who're returning to the BBC1 hit...

Katie Derham (series 13); Judy Murray (series 12) and Kimberley Walsh (series 10) are the ladies hitting the dance floor again, while the gentleman hoping to sparkle are Colin Jackson (series 3); Robbie Savage (series 9) and Jeremy Vine (series 13).

Katie, who will be dancing with Brendan Cole, said: “Being parachuted onto planet Strictly two years ago was the most joyful, challenging but hilarious and brilliant thing I’ve ever done. I cannot wait to dust off the sequins and get back in the training room.”

Kimberley will be returning to dance again with professional dancer, Pasha Kovalev. She said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be getting my dancing shoes on again for the Strictly Christmas special. I loved my time on Strictly so much so it's going to be wonderful to be back in the Strictly bubble for Christmas!”

Judy will be partnered with professional dancer, Neil Jones. She said, “I’m thrilled to bits to be part of Strictly’s Christmas Special. I promise to be every bit as bad as before and to enjoy it every bit as much.”

Meanwhile, Jeremy Vine revealed he was very eager to once again partner Karen Clifton: “Me? Dance again? Yes, yes, YES!!! Now where are those shoes? Let me clean the dust off.”

Colin Jackson will take to the floor with Amy Dowden, while Robbie will team up with Dianne Buswell.

In order to be crowned Christmas champions 2017 the six couples will have to impress Head Judge Shirley Ballas in her first appearance on a Strictly Christmas special. Craig, Darcey and Bruno will also be judging, while Tess and Claudia will be hosting.
