The X Factor hopeful Carolynne Poole has denied there's any feuding going on with her rivals. Carolynne, 32, had a brush with fame last year when she made it to the judges' stages of the show, during a traumatic time in her life when her marriage broke down and her attempts at pregnancy failed. She's now through to the live shows, after being picked by Gary Barlow in the over-28s category, with mother-of-two Melanie Masson, 44, and Kye Sones, 30. "Because we're so different we're not in direct competition with each other," the country music fan said of the other hopefuls selected by Gary for his category. "We're really supportive of each other. Although it's a competition, it's easier for us as a group to support each other individually and still cater for our needs as well." Asked how he was going to change the jokey reputation of the Overs' category, Gary said of his acts: "I don't need to do anything to change it. These guys will change it. "They're brilliant artists, they're diverse artists from each other. These guys will do that job for themselves."
