Danny-Boy Hatchard spoke at the British Soap Awards red carpet about life after EastEnders.
Danny-Boy Hatchard has spoken about life after EastEnders - revealing he is set to appear in a new stage adaptation of Oliver Twist.
What's On TV caught up with Danny-Boy on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards ceremony on Saturday.
Danny-Boy, who left the soap in February after character Lee Carter said an emotional goodbye to wife Whitney, revealed how much he'd missed the cast.
He said: "I've been away for about three or four months now so I have missed them. But such is life when you're an actor - you live in each other's pockets for however long you are contracted to and then it finishes and you just move on. You have to be a chameleon."
Danny-Boy revealed he is currently taking part in a new adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic Oliver Twist - where eight cast members take on 30 different characters.
He said: "It's going to push us to our limits."
