Sam Faiers on a drip in hospital after Celebrity Big Brother

Sam Faiers has been put on a drip in hospital after falling ill in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The Only Way Is Essex star struggled with illness during her time on the Channel 5 reality contest last month, but despite being taken out of the house for medical tests she was deemed fine to stay on the show.

Now, Sam has tweeted a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed with a drip in her arm, captioned: "Just woke up."

Sam didn't say what she was being treated for, but her mum Suzanne Wells told the Daily Mirror: "I've been so worried about Sam and have not seen her this ill before. All her bones are sticking out and she's very frail.

"I knew she wasn't right in the [CBB] house and she's lost so much weight.

"I've been with her the whole time and she's told me she's in a lot of pain, but we're hoping to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible."

The 23-year-old came fifth in the latest CBB series, which was won by comic Jim Davidson.
