Corrie's Paula: 'Kylie cheats on David!'
Coronation Street's Paula Lane tells Soaplife all about Kylie's pulling power at Christmas - and it's not crackers she's pulling, it's another bloke!!! Kylie was dreaming of a happy family Christmas, but there's no chance of that with her and David clashing over their very different ideas about adding to their family. She's already caught him crying on Tina's shoulder once and when she catches him with her again she thinks the worst. "There's a big row where David tries to say Tina's just a mate, but Kylie's not having any of it," Paula tells Soaplife. Instead she's having revenge...and then huge regrets... David's walked out on Kylie... Is she expecting him to walk right back? "Yes - and when he doesn't she's really upset. It's Christmas time and she was hoping to spend the time as a family." But David's idea of festive fun is humiliating Kylie at Nick's stag do... "Most of the blokes from the street are at the party, all of them people who know her. Kylie's serving them when Rob says, 'Where's the stripper then?' and David points to Kylie. She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe he's brought it up in front of everyone." Does she feel that's the final straw for her marriage? "At that point she just wants to get through Christmas for Max's sake... but she's not mature enough to let it go completely. She feels bad Max is witnessing all this rowing but she's still determined to stick up for herself, which means she can't let it go." But she does decide to give David one last chance... "After a talk with Gail about how much their rowing is affecting Max, and Nick telling her that David didn't mean what he said at the stag do, she decides to go and find David to make amends. But when she goes looking for him she sees him cuddling with Tina and assumes the worst-case scenario. David tries to explain himself, but Kylie just sees red. She's done... She tells David they're finished." And we hear she falls straight into bed with another man! "Yes, but she falls into bed with another man because the one person who for the past two years has been her rock, who she's given herself to and built up a great marriage with, has completely let her down." Does she realise what she's risking? "She isn't thinking straight. It comes out of the blue, it's spontaneous and animalistic. It's all about the passion. Kylie and her lover both want this at the time and they're not thinking about the consequences." Is Kylie thinking about the consequences when she wakes up on Boxing Day with her mystery man? "She's full of regret. She's thinking, 'Oh no, what have we done?' But the man in question is very good at talking her round and says, 'Let's just forget it ever happened.'" And then David tells Kylie how much he loves her... Does she still love him? "I think she does, yes, but she feels horrendous. As soon as she sees David after her one-night stand she knows he's the person she wants to be with and she's made a massive mistake. Kylie feels so guilty that it's going to be hard for her to move on from this."
