Dolly Rose, aka Corrie's Gemma, has Christmas sorted!

Dolly Rose Campbell, who plays kebab-shop worker Gemma Winter, has a piece of advice for any cooks doing Christmas dinner this year.

The 30-year-old actress, who was recently transformed into Cinderella by TV Times for a special photo shoot, worked as a chef before making it as actor. And she's shared her no nonsense advice to dodgy Xmas cooks...

“If you’re not very good at cooking, just get ready-made stuff and shove it in the oven, have a drink and get it out when it’s ready,” said Dolly Rose.

“I think Christmas Day is more about sitting down together than about what you actually eat." And what does Dolly plan on cooking this Christmas? "I’m not having turkey; I’m doing lamb in port instead," she revealed. "It’s a variation on Lamb Henry, using port instead of red wine."

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday night at 7.30pm.
