Meet Coronation St's new factory boss Luke Strong

Coronation Street fans will see a new face on the cobbles this Friday when Craig Kelly makes his debut as factory boss Luke Strong. However, the 38-year-old actor admits it's a bit odd being the new boy when you recognise everyone you work with. He says: "It's quite surreal being in Corrie. I watched it when I was a kid, and I've sort of seen it all my life really. So, to be involved in it is strange, and I'm not quite used to it yet." He adds: "When I was first in the green room, it was quite hard not to call people by their character names." Luckily, there is at least one other cast member he knows by his real name - his former Queer As Folk co-star Antony Cotton. Kelly says: "We are great mates anyway, and I've known him for years and years, since the Queer As Folks days, and he's been taking care of me." Craig makes his debut in Coronation Street on Friday when he announces to Tony Gordon that he's his new partner in knicker factory Underworld.
