Todd Carty has admitted he doesn't want to star in another soap any time soon, as he gears up to appear in the new series of Dancing On Ice. Todd, 45, who has appeared in Grange Hill, EastEnders and The Bill, said: "I have to say I'm not missing the world of soap. "I've been doing some reasonably interesting things. I've directed six episodes of Doctors for the BBC and I've got a production company with my wife so I've been wearing some different hats. "I've been doing soap since I was 13 and I'm, er, 21 now, so it's been quite a long time." Todd, best known for playing Mark Fowler in EastEnders, said he finds it hard to even watch a soap now. He said: "I think most actors will say that once you leave a soap you tend to shed your skin and you check in every now and again to see what's going on but I'm certainly not an avid watcher. "After doing them for 15-20 years, watching them is a bit like a busman's holiday." Dancing On Ice returns for its fourth series on Sunday, January 11 at 7pm on ITV1.
