The Barton brothers are in the thick of the romance on Emmerdale

Pete and Ross Barton are the centre of all the female attention as their love lives erupt on Emmerdale

The Barton brothers are headed for a week of illicit passion in Emmerdale as they both chase after forbidden romances.

Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan) is suffering guilt at having cheated on girlfriend Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) with her best friend Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade), but when an oblivious Leyla proposes to him, how will he react?

Cheating Pete turns to Priya again to discuss his guilt about the proposal and their affair, leading to an even more precarious situation when Nell Fairfax (Scarlett Archer) overhears them.

Will Nell expose their secret and what will Priya do when she finds out that Nell heard their conversation?

Meanwhile, Pete’s brother Ross (Michael Parr) could be about to fall for Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) again.

The pair have a tangled past – they began an affair when Debbie was engaged to Pete, ending in a wedding-day debacle which saw Ross hospitalised and Pete and Debbie annulling their marriage – but it seems that they're unable to put their thwarted romance behind them just yet.

When Ross arranges a party at the pub, things quickly turn chaotic as some of the teenage guests manage to get their hands on booze and Ross is beaten up by party host Jools’s disgruntled husband, who finds them flirting in the toilets.

As Debbie helps Ross to clean up his wounds, there is an obvious spark between the friends. Will they rekindle their romance?
