Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher on stripping off as farmer Andy

Kelvin Fletcher, 30, who plays Andy, has had to get his kit off quite a bit recently, what with beautician Bernice massaging him and spray-tanning him - and bedding him.

Does he enjoy stripping off for scenes?

“Those scenes with Bernice didn’t really come at a great time as I’d just broken my arm and not been able to go to the gym,” Kelvin says.

“So when I read I was taking my top off every two minutes in the show, it wasn’t the best timing.

"If I’m doing topless scenes, I like to hit the gym more. But that’s just the way it is.”

So, Kelvin goes to the gym a lot?

“It’s how I relax outside of work,” he told the Mirror. “It’s a social thing. I never train to look a certain way and I do a lot of charity cycle rides.

“I’m also busy car racing if I’m not filming. I drive in the Porsche Carrera Cup and race in Europe once a month.

"Some fans I meet are purely into racing, but I’m spreading the Emmerdale love!”
