Don't point the finger! Adam gets angry when Pete suggests he killed Emma…

Pete Barton, Adam Barton

Adam bites back when Pete confronts him about Emma's murder accusing him of the crime

One minute Pete is accusing Gabby Thomas of killing his mum and now it's his half-brother Adam's turn to cop the accusation! But why is Pete so keen to pass the buck around? Is he hiding something himself?

It all kicks off when Victoria asks Pete to collect Adam and bring him home for their meeting with the adoption lady. But when Pete picks up Adam, a row erupts when he learns how Adam changed his tyres the day after Emma died. Why? Was Adam trying to get rid of evidence which could link him to the scene of the crime? Adam gets riled and Pete just sees this as a sign of his guilt – and before long Pete shares his suspicions with Ross – and with the police…

Meanwhile, accused teen Gabby has questions for Laurel when she finds a train ticket in her stepmum's bag which leads her to find out Laurel was in Emmerdale the day Emma died and not at her sister's house as she claimed…

Gerry gets hold of some fireworks for bonfire night.
