Three teams battle it out for two places in the semi-final of Bake Off: Crème de la Crème

Three teams battle it out for two places in the semi-final. As usual, the first task is to produce a plethora of perfect miniatures. This time, however, judges Cherish and Benoit want 144 in just three hours.

The first is a designer viennoiserie (a posh Danish pastry) and the second a rolled petit four – two kinds of each with the focus on creating something the judges have never seen or tasted before.

The final task is a chocolate showpiece based on the theme of the sky at night. Cue towering structures of planets, telescopes, galaxies and three different flavours of bon bons.

Who will reach for the stars and who will crash back to Earth with a bump?
