It’s bombshell after bombshell for doctor Cal Knight in this week’s Casualty.

Having found out he’s not the father of baby Matilda at the end of last week’s episode, Cal’s unsure of how to react. But when the ED doctor discovers an anomaly on the results, which states he and his own mother have incompatible blood groups, Cal’s suspects there’s been a mistake with the paternity tests!

Determined to prove Matilda’s his, Cal enlists the help of Charlie to do more tests. But when the results come back, they bring terrible news… Not only is Matilda not Cal’s daughter, it turns out his mother can’t have given birth to him!

Cal’s thrown into turmoil as he tries to figure out what to do for the best. After some soul searching, Cal decides to give Matilda up to social services. But he fails to tell his brother Ethan he’s adopted. Instead, the medic reverts to his old ways. He gets really drunk and ends up sleeping with an attractive blonde lady he meets in a bar!

Elsewhere, Jacob organises an arm wrestling competition between the staff. And when clinical lead, Connie, challenges him to a wrestle, the atmosphere sizzles with sexual tension!

Also this week, Jacob proves to Connie he can keep his cool with an extremely difficult patient. Nurse Louise, however, doesn’t fare so well. She throws a glass of water over the patient in question when he slaps her bottom!

Meanwhile, Max misses his estranged wife, Zoe, when she takes some leave from the ED…
