Can Daniel win back Zara?

After a night fretting that he may be losing Zara to Dutch, Daniel comes in prepared to strike back but overhears that Zara and Dutch will be meeting again today for lunch. He manages to find out from an indiscreet Karen that they're going to The Icon and turns up as they are sharing a bottle of wine. As Joe's father, he is an interested party, and he's going to give Dutch the third degree!

As Dutch reveals plans to move to Letherbridge to work in paediatrics, Daniel lets Zara know just how much he misses her – and everything about her. This prompts Dutch to leave to let the pair talk through their unresolved issues. Zara lets Daniel drive her home and the tension in the car explodes into passion as they fall through the front door and into one another’s arms. Daniel's delighted – he's won her back!

Knowing she must present Collier with her interpretation of Sam's death, Emma's dressed up and with her best war paint on. Armed with Sam's mobile phone, she lays out the chronology of the day and suggests Sam called Howard unaided, which would take more strength than anybody had thought Sam capable of. Collier considers Sam kept his returning strength a secret so that he wouldn't implicate anybody else in his death.

Emma has no clue as whether Collier believes her, but it's good enough that she survives the meeting. At The Mill, Emma gathers the staff and apologises to Howard before reciting her lie – she now knows that Sam killed himself, and thanks them for their support. She tries to corner Heston afterwards, but he shrugs her off. He doubts her story, and doesn't want to be a party to any of this!

Also, during a power cut, Jimmi gets trapped in a lift with a woman whose belief in fate has sustained her since the loss of her son, but has also stopped her from getting over it.
