Carl plays a prank on Anna that leaves her stranded in a truck. Matthew comes across her and offers her a lift and Carl is unnerved when Anna gives Matthew a lingering kiss in thanks. Carl snogs Lexi to make Anna jealous - but will she take the bait? Diane visits Gray and finds him drunk and near suicidal. Diane asks Paul to have a word but she is stunned when Paul refuses and confesses their history. Meanwhile, Jonny is thinking of leaving. David transcribes Gabby's bedtime story then faxes it to Nicola. Laurel sees the pages and points out that it's a published book. Will David stop Nicola from submitting the story to the publisher in time? Also, Viv is gutted when Gray resigns as her lawyer.
