As writer, director and star, Jon Favreau pours passion and joy into this comedy about a burnt-out chef who rekindles his love of cooking by taking to the road in a food truck.

This is a light, fluffy and utterly charming little movie and Favreau is a joy. He’s a star LA chef who quits his job after a run-in with restaurant owner Dustin Hoffman and food critic Oliver Platt.

Thanks to his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara) and her ex (Robert Downey Jr, a hoot), Favreau acquires a decrepit truck and, after some much-needed restoration, takes to the road with his 10-year-old son (Emjay Anthony) and loyal pal John Leguizamo, where his mouth-watering dishes become a big hit.

Favreau’s warm-hearted generosity runs through the film and a deliciously sweet, funny, touching and mouth-watering treat is the result.
