Ste feels on top of the world. When Cheryl pops by, he realises she doesn't know he was the reason Brendan was hospitalised. He braces himself and tells her the whole truth... Meanwhile, Brendan's out of hospital and looking sharper than ever and he's bemused when he's met by an abrasive Cheryl. In the club, Cheryl can't take his lies anymore and finally blows her top as Pete comes in. Enjoying Brendan's awkwardness, Pete adds fuel to the fire when he makes a shocking admission about Brendan's past... Meanwhile, Cheryl overhears their conversation and can't believe she hasn't seen the real Brendan sooner. Pete tries to convince Brendan not to leave but he insists he has nothing to stick around for. Will Brendan face up to his true feelings for Ste or run away again? Elsewhere, Ste and Noah struggle with each others boundaries; Jacqui decides she needs to get away - but not before Rhys makes his feelings known. Can he make her stay? Patrick McLennan is a London-based journalist and documentary maker who has worked as a writer, sub-editor, digital editor and TV producer in the UK and New Zealand. His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
