The world comes crashing down for Daniel Osbourne as the reality of life without Sinead hits home

Coronation Street's Sinead feels that she’s ruined Ken’s party with her announcement, but he assures that his only concern is for her and Daniel Osbourne in Wednesday's second episode (8.30pm, see our TV Guide for full listings).

Daniel and Sinead leave their nearest and dearest to process the news. Later, Ken shares his terrible news to those in the Rovers and it is clear he is struggling to keep his emotions in check. Liz, Sean and Eileen agree to bury the hatchet realising time is precious. Back at the flat, Sinead tells Daniel how sorry she is that she has to leave him but she knows Bertie will be in safe hands. It’s only then that Daniel finally surrenders to the tears.

Kevin mentions his recent windfall to Martine and realises she’s only after his cash. Paula persuades Sophie to leave for Cambodia tonight, however it soon transpires that Paula never planned to go with her, she just used it as a way to encourage the move. Kevin, Sally, Tim and Paula bid an emotional farewell to Sophie as she leaves for Cambodia.

Making out he’s been at his friend Carl’s house, Max returns home and smiles when he receives a text from someone called ‘M’.
