Mo bounds into work with a spring in her step; its the day she has to give William - the boy she carried and gave birth to for friend Sorcia - back to his stepfather Brett but she knows it's for the best. Mo throws herself into her work while denying that giving up William is an emotional wrench. When Brett has a medical setback and says William needs a mother figure, Mo's hopeful that she’ll get to spend more quality time with William - but she gets a shock when Sorcia’s estranged mother, Viv, turns up.
When Mo overhears Viv saying she doesn't think William should have any more contact with her, Mo fears she may never seen her precious boy again and flees with William! Mo takes William to his favourite place to see the red buses and, when people at Holby start to ask about their whereabouts, Mo's friend Mr T works out where she’s gone and turns up at the bus station. Feeling sad at having to lose William, Mo refuses to bring him back, but Mr T makes her realise she needs to put her own feelings aside and do what's best for the child…
Sacha's nervous as it's interview day for the consultant's job on Keller when he learns Pasty Brassvine – an advocate of cutting-edge surgery – is on the consultant selection panel. When Patsy suggests specialist keyhole surgery could be used to remove a tumour in patient Lee's bowel, Sacha says it's risky but, later, feels obliged to give Lee what he wants. Later, Sacha attends his interview - but when Patsy admits she talked Lee into wanting the risky surgery just to 'test' Sacha, he makes it clear he'll always put his patients above ANY promotion…
