Tensions are running high between Jimmi Clay and Al Haskey on Doctors as the medics prepare for the grand re-opening of the Icon Bar.

The countdown continues until the grand re-opening of the Icon Bar under the new management of Jimmi Clay (played by Adrian Lewis Morgan) and Al Haskey (Ian Midlane) on Doctors (1:45pm on BBC One, see our TV Guide for full listings).

But tensions are running high between the medics as Jimmi struggles to get Al to help him with any practical tasks.

And to make matters worse, there is no sign of their new Bar Manager!

But with opening night just around the corner, Jimmi and Al's plans are thrown into further jeopardy when their work colleague Sid Vere (Ashley Rice) reminds the pair it is almost the one-year anniversary of their colleague, Dr Heston Carter's death after a SHOCK car crash.

FLASHBACK! Remember the big car crash Al Haskey, Mrs Tembe and Heston Carter were involved in last year on Doctors?

Heston's friends and family are sure to want to do something to mark the occasion. Should Jimmi and Al cancel their plans out of respect?

Meanwhile at The Mill, surgery partners Daniel Granger (Matthew Chambers) and Zara Carmichael (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) have been left reeling from the sudden departure of surgery practice manager Becky Clarke, after Becky's bitter break-up with Daniel.

But instead of playing the blame game, Daniel and Zara know it's time to hire a full-time Practice Manager, since Becky's replacement strangely prefers to stay in her office and communicate with the staff via Post-It Notes ONLY!

However, things get competitive between ex-es Daniel and Zara when they both decide to write job ads for the position and cannot agree on who has written the better ad.

Can Emma Reid (Dido Miles) help play peacekeeper between the pair and pick a winner?

Elsewhere, surgery receptionist Valerie Pitman (Sarah Moyle) becomes suspicious that an elderly patient, Pearl Vardy (Janie Booth) is about to be conned out of her life savings by scam-sters Amanda Jenkins (Cassie Atkinson) and Frank Malden (Gary Finan).

It's a scam! Amanda Jenkins tries to con pensioner Pearl Vardy out of her life savings on today's episode of Doctors...

While visiting Pearl, Valerie's suspicions are confirmed when Amanda arrives at Pearl's house posing as a policewoman who has already advised the elderly widow to withdraw everything in her bank account and wait for it to be collected as "evidence"!

Can Valerie find a way to catch-out crook-sters Amanda and Frank?

Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
