Gordon is still awaiting an answer from Mrs Tembe after his marriage proposal. But he's in for a surprise when she drops a shock bombshell...

Mrs Tembe has been in a right old muddle since church vicar Gordon Clement proposed marriage during a romantic evening out. She's been keeping him in suspense, so he's still unsure if her answer is yes... or no!

Mrs Tembe realises it is d-day and time to make a decision. But when she visits Gordon at the church, he doesn't get the answer he was hoping for when instead the surgery practice manager drops the shock bombshell she has decided to train to become a vicar!

Will Gordon support Mrs Tembe's decision despite his own personal disappointment over his doomed marriage proposal?

Meanwhile, Emma Reid and Zara Carmichael have a girlie getaway to a local spa for some rest and relaxation. However, when Emma innocently asks how things are going now between Zara and her husband Daniel Granger, after Zara's one-night stand with colleague Sid Vere at Christmas, Zara bursts into tears! Are Zara and Daniel definitely doomed?

Elsewhere, surgery receptionist Karen Hollins finds herself involved in a family conflict when a son Richard Maberry disapproves of his mum Liz's (played by ex-EastEnders star Ellen Thomas, who was Vincent's mum Claudette Hubbard) relationship with new boyfriend Bruce Cradick.
