Doctors spoilers: Sid Vere gets on the wrong side of Zara Carmichael!
Sid decides to do a favour for surgery colleagues Ayesha and Valerie... but finds himself feeling the wrath of boss-lady Zara!
The surgery has been thrown into chaos following Heston Carter, Al Haskey and Mrs Tembe's recent shock car crash. Regular surgery receptionist Karen Hollins is finding it a challenge trying to fill the shoes of practice manager, Mrs Tembe. Meanwhile, nurse Ayesha Lee is stressed-out over whether her car will pass its MOT.
So when receptionist Valerie Pitman offers to give Ayesha a lift to a local garage, Dr Sid Vere offers to cover reception while she's gone. However, boss-lady Zara Carmichael is not impressed when she finds Sid answering the phone and dealing with patient enquiries, as she feels it's beneath a doctor to cover reception!
Elsewhere, Daniel Granger goes to visit Mrs Tembe who is due to be discharged from hospital. But the medic is shocked by the reality that the normally no-nonsense Mrs Tembe is struggling to cope in the aftermath of the tragic turn of events.
Meanwhile, Ayesha isn't the only one having car trouble. But while her colleague Emma Reid is down at the garage getting her car fixed, she finds herself trying to help mechanic Kim Aldred, whose family life with partner Graham and their son Alex is falling apart.

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
