Sid's in for a surprise when his dad Tye breaks the news he has tracked down Sid's long-lost brother, Laurence!

Sid Vere has been avoiding his parents since he discovered they abandoned the baby boy who was born two years before him.

Estelle and Tye Vere claim the baby was born with severe disabilities. They decided they couldn't cope and left him at the hospital.

However, Sid's in for a BIG surprise when he meets up with his dad at The Icon, who reveals he has tracked down Sid's long-lost brother, Laurence! According to Tye, Laurence has Down's syndrome and now lives in sheltered accommodation.

But there's another shock in store when Tye confesses, unknown to Estelle, he has been volunteering at the sheltered living and has met Laurence! Will Sid ask to meet him too?

Meanwhile, back at the surgery, there's an interesting proposition for Daniel Granger and Zara Carmichael when they are invited to attend a charity awards ceremony together.

Unfortunately, the invite couldn't have come at a worse time since the estranged couple can barely be in the same room together before they start squabbling!

However, because it will be good for business, Daniel reckons someone should go. But WHO could Daniel take instead of Zara?

Elsewhere, midwife Ruhma Carter arrives to check pregnant patient Nina Hobbs. But finds herself caught in the middle of family drama when Nina's mum Gemma accuses her daughter's boyfriend Lee Parry of stealing a valuable ring that belonged to her mother!
