In Ed Stafford: Man Woman Child Wild, the adventurer takes the entire family off to a remote part of the planet. Will they cope?

Discovery TV's Ed Stafford: Man Woman Child Wild is an interesting idea with the potential to turn into a disaster.

In search of a simpler life, adventurer Ed Stafford moves his wife Laura and 20-month-old toddler Ran (short for Ranulph) to an uninhabited desert island, in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

The aim is to not only survive but thrive away from technology and the stresses and strains of modern life.

But on day one, as a tropical storm moves in, leaving little Ran cold and scared, Ed is forced to ask himself whether he's made a terrible mistake.

The pressure is on to build a substantial shelter, find fresh water and some proper food, so it’s a good job Ed has done this thing before and knows how to turn a patch of jungle into a comfy family home.
