Eli winds up Debbie after she refuses to give him the promised commission for helping her out with the loan and he tells her that he's going to pay Viv a visit in Scott's suit! Debbie agrees to pay up as the two share a drink at Tug Ghyll. Eli moves in to kiss Debbie and after initially pulling away she can’t resist passionately kissing him back. David gets worried when he witnesses several heated confrontations between Del and Pollard. He's afraid that it’s only a matter of time before Pollard finds out what he and Del are up to – little realising that Pollard already knows – and he shocks both Pollard and Del by sacking her! Del insists that it’s the final straw and she wants them to flee the country the following day. Pearl and Len get a cheque for their house and an elated Pearl sets about organising the wedding of her dreams. But she’s left unsettled when Edna is unenthusiastic about her plans and tells her to stop going on about the wedding. Also, Jasmine visits Laurel.
