Emmerdale spoilers: What's Cain's beef with Robert Sugden?

Cain Dingle

The Dingle mechanic is furious when he hears his nephew's husband on the phone to his solicitor about his upcoming court case

So Emmerdale's Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) has got a whopping lie eating him up at the moment. But when someone finds out what he's up against, rather than lend their support at such a stressful time in Robert's life, they're furious with him!

Cain (Jeff Hordley) happens to be that guy. Overhearing Robert on the phone to his solicitor, his teeth clench with rage when Robert discusses his hush-hush possible life sentence. If Robert hadn't told his family – and most importantly his husband Aaron (Danny Miller) – that he was only facing a short spell, Cain might have had some sympathy. Can Robert talk his way out of trouble with his hubby's uncle?

Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) has done nothing but scoff at Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) who's gone and on about her 'one share' in the family's sweet business since the place went up in smoke.

Jai learns that Nicola sold her share to Al in Emmerdale

Who's sorry now? Jai finds out Nicola has sold her one share in the Sharma business to Kim Tate's business partner Al, who is Jessie's ex-husband

Having told Nicola her share is irrelevant, that doesn't seem to be the case when Jai rails at her for selling it to Kim Tate's business partner Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), Jessie Dingle's ex who's recently come on the scene.

Elsewhere, guilt-racked Kerry (Laura Norton) wants an escape from the pressure of her killer secret.

This is tonight's only visit to Emmerdale on ITV.
