Emmerdale spoilers: Robert and Aaron surrogacy SHOCKER

Emmerdale, Robert Sugden, Aaron Dingle

Robert and Aaron arrange a meeting with surrogate mum-to-be Natalie after they hear she may be having thoughts about getting involved...

Robert Sugden (played by Ryan Hawley) and his hubby Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) have long wanted to start their own family on Emmerdale, and earlier this year the couple met with a potential surrogate mum, Natalie (Thea Beyleveld).

But the couple have currently been sidetracked trying to support Robert's younger sister Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) who was raped earlier this year by Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie), and then discovered she is pregnant with her rapist's baby...

Robert is ready to do what ever it takes to stop Lee causing any further misery for Victoria and her unborn child.

But with Robert ready to protect his future niece/nephew, where does this leave his and Aaron's original plan to use surrogate mum, Natalie, especially now that she may be having second thoughts about getting involved with the couple?

Arranging a meeting, will Robert come clean about everything that's been going on?

Meanwhile, it's still a tense time for Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) and her daughter Amy (Natalie-Ann Jamieson) after the pair accidentally started an explosive fire at the village factory.

As the pair continue to cover-up their crime, having accidentally caused the blaze while destroying CCTV footage of Kerry stealing a load of charity money from the factory safe, their guilt starts to get the better of them.

Having used the stolen money to pay off some of Amy's dodgy debts, Kerry unexpectedly announces plans to hold another fundraiser for the local kids' hospital.

But will anyone start to get suspicious as to why Kerry is suddenly acting so charitable?

Emmerdale continues weeknights at 7:00pm on ITV

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.
