There's horror for village vet Vanessa when she is attacked by a mystery arsonist outside The Woolpack who then drives off with her son Johnny...
Double-bill. Someone definitely has a grudge against the Dingle family. In tonight's episode, pub landlady Charity Dingle appears to be the target. But it's her girlfriend Vanessa Woodfield who pays the price...
As village vet Vanessa returns home with her son Johnny, she is alarmed to see a hooded figure splashing a petrol can around outside The Woolpack.
Worried that Charity could be in danger, Vanessa confronts the mystery man. But things take a horrific turn when Vanessa gets stabbed and her assailant then steals her car to make his escape, unaware Johnny is still strapped into the back seat!
As a fire ignites outside the pub, will anyone find injured Vanessa before it's too late?
Meanwhile, with the police now looking into the disappearance of Debbie Dingle's former fiance Joe Tate, his trusted associate Graham Foster fears it is only a matter of time before the police discover Graham's involvement in Joe's disappearance last year.
Graham has left Cain Dingle believing he killed Joe after a scuffle outside Home Farm caused Joe to fall and hit his head. But when Graham drove off with Joe's body in the boot of his car, he was still alive!
Graham has been hitting the booze to drown his sorrows over what happened to the man he came to think of as a son. But fearing he is spiralling out of control, Graham turns to now sober alcoholic Laurel Thomas for some guidance.
Will Laurel's previous battle with the demon drink help Graham clean up his act?
Elsewhere in the village, Bernice Blackstock clashes with her mum Diane Sugden over her laziness around the B&B now she is staying there.
Bernice is not best pleased about her current living arrangements. But then lover Liam Cavanagh comes up with a surprise solution to her problem. But what is it?
