Just three more challenges and we’ll know who has baked their way to glory…

After a great couple of months and a stressful semi-final, the three remaining bakers will be relieved to know that there are only three more challenges left to complete this series. But of course they won’t be straightforward!

Firstly, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith are demanding perfectly decorated doughnuts (yum!), and then we’re told to expect a technical unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

In fact, it’s such a curveball that the baking won’t actually be taking place inside the tent!

We’re officially intrigued…

Of course the moment we’re all waiting for is the reveal of the 2018 winner – who will walk away with the cake stand of champions?

Baker Kim-Joy

Ahead of this week’s final, we meet semi-finalists Rahul, Kim-Joy, Briony and Ruby to chat cake, confidence and life after Bake Off… The full interview is in TV Times on sale 23 October

Kim-Joy, 27 Mental-health specialist from Leeds

If TV Times came round for afternoon tea, what would you bake us and why? I’d bake you a pandan cake to show that pandan does taste really nice!

Great British Bake-Off-- semi-finalistBriony

Baker Briony

Briony, 33 Full-time mum from Bristol

What do you hope your baking future will hold? I will keep baking for my family and friends and teaching my daughter Nora how to bake. I hope GBBO will open some exciting doors – we shall see!

GBBO semi-finalist Baker-Rahul

Baker Rahul

Rahul, 30 Research scientist from Rotherham

What have you learnt from your time in the tent? I went into Bake Off to learn and I was not disappointed. The advice from Paul and Prue regarding baking is amazing.

However, the best lesson I should have learnt is ‘to be confident’, which I am still trying to be.

Ruby, 29 Project manager from London

Who is your biggest supporter? All the women in my immediate family are my biggest cheerleaders. They are my go-to people when in need and also the first who I get to taste test new bakes. I value their honesty.

They give Paul and Prue a run for their money, let me tell you!
