Holby's fiery surgeon Jac Naylor wants Zosia to push herself - but Zosia's efforts to impress have dramatic consequences...

Wanting her to be the best doctor she can be, Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) pushes Zosia Self (Camilla Arfwedson) to the limit this week. Zosia is continuing with a research project she started in the States, which involves modifying a heart valve.

Jac reckons she has the perfect patient to trial the 'new' valve and orders Zosia to make it ready. Zosia claims it still needs a lot of work – but when has Jac EVER taken no for an answer?

As pregnant Zosia makes a mad dash in her efforts to impress, she suffers a nasty fall. Has her unborn child been harmed? Will the incident make Zosia take a serious look at her future? And will Zosia and Jac ever see eye-to-eye?

Elsewhere, after finding out he’s adopted, Dominic (David Ames) struggles when Carole (Julia Deakin) turns up on the YAU with her young next-door-neighbour, who needs treatment.

Dom has no time for Carole, who he feels should have told him sooner that his real mum is fellow surgeon Ange Godard (Dawn Steele). Carole, however, is keen to make amends with Dom and it looks like she may have come up with a neat way for them to reunite…

Also, Xavier’s (Marcus Griffiths) controlling mother Nanette (Suzette Llewellyn) is admitted onto AAU and soon takes a shine to Cameron. However, as much as she’s able to charm Cameron, Nanette’s vicious side soon returns to the surface…

Holby City continues Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC1.
