Lawyer James has been in total turmoil ever since his lover Harry’s body was unearthed in the woods. But worse was to come when he himself became a murder suspect.
Ever since, James has been desperate to prove his innocence and find out who the real killer is.
As Harry’s funeral gets underway, a desolate James can hardly keep it together and his legs begin to buckle as he stands beside Harry’s coffin.
Meanwhile Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) who has been in hiding with his far right cronies, Jonny Baxter (Ray Quinn) and Stuart Sumner (Chris Simmons), is shattered when news reaches him of Harry’s murder.
Ste, who was seen marrying Harry last year, is utterly heart-broken and makes his way to the church. However, as he races towards the hearse carrying Harry’s coffin, he’s stopped from attending the funeral by Stuart and Jonny.
Elsewhere Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) can’t believe that her husband Tony (Nick Pickard) isn’t here for his own son’s funeral and still has no idea that Tony was being held prisoner by serial killer Breda McQueen (Moya Brady) who was Harry’s real murderer, and has since been involved in a terrible accident!
Diane still believes that it was Harry who was responsible for the hit and run accident that nearly killed Grace Black (Tamara Wall). However Grace knows otherwise. She has finally discovered that it was Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) who was the real culprit for the horror smash that put her in a wheelchair.
Tonight a vengeful Grace is back in business when she decides it’s time everyone knew the truth.
She puts on her heels and make-up and heads off to The Dog to confront Mercedes.
Mercedes’ husband Sylver, James, Diane and Breda are all stunned when Grace plays Mercedes’ confession over a loud speaker in the pub. As friends and family struggle to take in the horrific revelation that Mercedes framed Harry for the hit and run, a guilty Mercedes reels! Is it game over for the lying McQueen?
Hollyoaks is shown weekdays on C4 at 6.30pm with the next episode following on E4
