Hollyoaks spoilers: NEW ARRIVAL! Tony Hutchinson’s dad, Edward, arrives in Chester
Tony's estranged dad, surgeon Edward Hutchinson (played by Joe McGann), arrives in the village. How will his unexpected arrival be received?
It’s a bolt out of the blue when Tony Hutchinson’s dad, Edward Hutchinson turns up in the village in tonight’s episode of Hollyoaks at 6.30pm (See our TV Guide for full listings).
Edward (played by Joe McGann) rolls up when Tony’s wife Diane (Alex Fletcher) and Marnie Nightingale (Lysette Anthony) are busy making funeral plans for Harry Thompson whose body was recently discovered in the woods.
An overwhelmed Diane, who has finally been told by the police that Harry’s body is ready to be released, is not exactly pleased by Edward’s shock arrival and sends Tony’s estranged father packing!
Elsewhere, Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy) tries to convince his son Ollie (Aedan Duckworth) that he’s making the wrong decision putting the baby that he’s expecting with Brooke, up for adoption.
Teenage mum Brooke (Talia Grant) is feeling calmer about the adoption decision so she and her carer Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) are worried when a fired-up Luke turns up unexpectedly at the adoption meeting. Is he going to tell Brooke she’s making a big mistake?
Meanwhile killer Breda McQueen’s (Moya Brady) increasingly erratic behaviour has been causing concern for her daughter Goldie (Chelsee Healey) who has been checking up on her distracted mum.
Breda, who keeps sneaking off to her pig farm where she is keeping Tony Hutchinson prisoner, tries to explain away her visits to the deserted farm by pretending she’s put it on the market with an estate agency and has got a viewing coming up. However when Goldie rings the agency and discovers that Breda has lied, she decides to find out exactly what her mum is up to!
Is it only a matter of time before a caged and increasingly weak Tony is discovered?
Hollyoaks is shown weekdays on C4 at 6.30pm with the next episode following on E4
