Laurie Shelby and Sinead Shelby in Hollyoaks

When Sinead finds herself in terrible danger, it's a race against time to try and save her

Following the dramatic events of yesterday, Sinead Shelby is in terrible danger in Hollyoaks.

Sinead (Stephanie Davies) chose to blot out her husband Laurie Shelby’s trial by going to a festival and getting drunk. However when Laurie was sentenced to four years in prison, things took a very dark turn when he came into contact with Sinead’s brother, Finn (Keith Rice) who has been behind bars for serial rape offences.

Finn O'Connor

Rapist Finn was sent to prison for his crimes

Finn, who was initially jailed in 2014 for raping his teacher, John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) and attempting to rape Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) flew at Laurie in a blind rage when he realised he was the same man who raped his sister, Sinead.

As a raging fight escalated between the two men in the back of a prison van, things took a terrible turn and now Sinead is once again in serious danger herself.

When Sinead’s terrified mum, Diane (Alex Fletcher), learns what’s going on she’s hysterical and begs Sami Maalik (Rishi Nair) to try and rescue her daughter before it’s too late.

What has happened to Sinead and is Laurie, who is now supposed to be behind bars, out for revenge?

Elsewhere, Juliet Quinn (Niamh Blackshaw) is overwhelmed with guilt following Brooke’s breakdown. Juliet stole Brooke’s purse at the festival and a distraught Brooke, who’s autistic, suffered a sensory overload and collapsed when she was looking for it in the DJ tent. Can Juliet look after her friend and make it up to her?

Hollyoaks is shown weekdays on C4 at 6.30pm with the next episode following on E4
