It’s Mercedes and Russ’s wedding day and all the McQueen clan are getting ready for the big celebrations but will it be day to remember for all the right reasons...or the wrong ones in an one-hour Hollyoaks special?
As the day dawns, Mercedes, (Jennifer Metcalfe), starts reminiscing about all her failed marriages and how this one will be different
However things get off to a rocky start when Father Dan is unable to do the service. Cleo (Nadine Mulkerrin), steps in to try and sort things out and asks Joel, (Rory Douglas-Speed), if he can officiate the wedding.
Mercedes is delighted when he agrees and she makes her way to the church with Moira, excited about the day ahead.
As the ceremony gets underway, and a nervous Russ waits at the altar, Loose Women Janet Street Porter and Linda Robson have cameo roles as wedding guests who turn up late to the church!
Will Russ and Mercedes big day go to plan or are the McQueens facing yet more chaos and setbacks?
Goldie McQueen certainly doesn't seem to be in the mood for celebrating having recently had a one night stand with groom Russ!
Elsewhere a guild-wracked Joel Dexter confesses to Cleo that he and Goldie kissed. She is heart-broken that she wasn’t the last person he kissed before going back to the priesthood. Can the pair reconcile?
Plus a life is on the line when a vengeful Liam Donovan, (Jude Monk McGowan), receives a delivery of poison labelled, “Karma”. He ties up Grace Black in the office and orders her to lure all the other WAGS – Maxine, Courtney and Simone – over.
However when the unsuspecting women arrive, they’re horrified to find Liam waiting for them. He ties them all up and tells them he is going to give them all a cocktail but only one of the glasses will contain the deadly poison.
Who is facing death by drink? Is one of the WAGS about to breathe her last?
