Pcs Beth Green and Emma Keane turn up for work hungover, and are horrified to hear that Supt John Heaton will be joining them on patrol in Canley Market. Meanwhile, Pcs Roger Valentine and Nate Roberts find delivery driver Wayne beaten and robbed of electrical toy robots that were in the back of his van. Wayne's manager, Jaz Desai, seems more worried about his stock than he is Wayne's injuries, and it soon transpires that van-jacker James and his girlfriend Rachel stole the robots, which contained heroin. With the Pcs feeling worse for wear, Sergeant Nikki Wright is forced to step in and arrest Rachel. Beth learns that her friend and stallholder Lee is unknowingly selling the robots, and Lee reveals that the toys have been taken away by a man fitting Jaz's description. Later, the officers discover that Jaz and Wayne are holding Rachel for ransom in return for the missing drugs - and time is running out...
