Simon Weston presents a documentary looking at war artefacts such as the Spitfire.

Founded while World War One was still raging, the first Imperial War Museum site was set up to record 'the sacrifices made by men and women in times of conflict.'

Every artefact and document there once belonged to someone, and so offers a personal insight into war.

To celebrate the organisation's centenary, Falklands veteran Simon Weston presents a film in which 10 well-known people explore the stories of 10 objects from the IWM archives.

Among them, Ainsley Harriott peruses a ration book, Bear Grylls goes on board HMS Belfast, Al Murray looks at a Spitfire and Kate Adie tells the story of the typewriter in Churchill's War Rooms.
