Kate has been shot and as the ambulance arrives, she comes too and manages to tell Brennan she loves him before passing out. Chris arrives at the car park injured after his attack, and tells everyone it was Stephen Montague. Kate dies at the car park and her body is taken to hospital. Paul, devastated in grief, locks himself inside Charlie's and trashes the place.
Erinsborough is in shock over the death of Kate. The funeral is held with Sophie, Kyle, Paul and Brennan all giving eulogies. The wake is held at the Kennedy house. Stephen Montague is the number one suspect but no one can get through to Danni. Zeke is making mysterious phone calls. Sophie tells Paul she wants to be with Harry in the US and Paul agrees, though he's secretly hurt. At Kate's graveside, Paul tells Brennan that he blames him for Kate's death and will make sure Brennan pays.
Dane's legal troubles in Thailand appear to be worsening. Sheila thinks she'll have to go over because Dane's mother has lost her passport, but Kyle offers to go instead. Before he leaves, Georgia tells him that she loves him.
Kate's death encourages Naomi and Sheila to put aside their differences. But Sheila can't help noticing that Naomi seems to getting close Toadie.
