In the wake of Kyle and Kate's secret being exposed, Kate is at a loss to understand how the email came to be in Georgia's hands. She admits to Sheila that Kyle and her had been together but denies giving the email to Georgia. When Kate tries to explain to Georgia why she kept it from her, Georgia cuts all ties with her. Reeling from the disaster, Kate is confronted by Sheila and admits her love for Kyle. After a last desperate attempt to sort things out with Kyle, Kate is found with Kyle by Georgia. Georgia returns her engagement ring and Kyle cuts ties with Kate.
After manipulating the email into Georgia's hands, Gem pushes Georgia to end things with Kyle. Toadie and Sonya try to offer words of wisdom, but in her fragile state, she only listens to Gem's advice. Suspicious of Gem's motives, Toadie warns Gem to stay away.
Worried that everyone thinks Kate planted the email deliberately, Bailey wants to come clean. But when Gem warns him that if he does, he'll be the one blamed, Bailey finally realises what type of terrible person Gem really is.
Stunned to hear of Kate's night with Kyle, Mason wants answers. When Kate refuses to talk to him, he seeks Kyle out and questions their friendship. Betrayed, Mason realises he's been played the fool.
