The gripping Welsh thriller starring Broadchurch actress Eve Myles became an iPlayer sensation - it's now a primetime drama on BBC1

A missing husband, some dangerous criminals and a long-held family secret are at the heart of this brilliantly gripping thriller starring Torchwood and Broadchurch actress Eve Myles.

The eight-parter, which was originally shown in Welsh on S4C and in English on BBC Wales, broke iPlayer records with more than 9.5 million downloads before coming to BBC1.

Faith Howells, is a lawyer and ordinary mum-of-three whose life is turned upside down when her husband, Evan (played by Eve’s real-life husband Bradley Freegard), goes missing out of the blue one Wednesday morning.

Eve, 39, tells TV Times how playing the flawed yet captivating Faith has changed everything for her and why she changed her mind after considering leaving acting altogether…

'When you’ve been doing something for 20 years you can get a little bit stuck,' she explains.

'I needed a challenge and I had faith – pardon the pun – that something would come along. Then Faith literally did come along! It shook me out of that place, got me excited again and stopped me diverting into something else.'
