Lily manages to fob Kyle off and he heads out to work on his ute. The girls renew their efforts to get Lily to leave with them but she refuses and asks them to go. Then, Cassie offers to smuggle Lily into Summer Bay House, pretending she's just a mate. Sally agrees that 'Ruby' can stay, and Matilda and Cassie introduce her to Brad, Alf, Sally and Ric, who is suspicious and tries to trip Ruby up with questions about her past. Noticing the bruises on her arms, Ric realises Ruby is actually Cassie’s friend, Lily, and questions Cassie about it. But Lily overhears and bolts. Luckily Ric and the girls find her and Ric promises he won't tell anyone who she is and why she's staying. But, in the distance, an unhappy Kyle is watching... At the bar, Alf overhears two young men talking about how hot Martha looked on stage, dancing at the club. Humiliated, Alf heads to Martha's flat, and asks her if she cares what people are saying about her. Martha demands that Alf leave, but once alone, she breaks down in shame. Later, Alf apologises to her, but Martha tells him he made her feel cheap.
