Continuing the Landmark Sitcom season, this episode of Galton and Simpson’s Steptoe and Son stars Jeff Rawle and Ed Coleman in the roles originally played by Wilfrid Brambell and Harry H Corbett.
They’re both excellent, particularly Rawle, who sounds uncannily like Brambell (even though he looks more like a bedraggled George V). A Winter’s Tale is an ideal episode to encapsulate the rag-and-bone men, with Albert taking the dishes into the shower with him to save water and Harold dreaming of a skiing holiday.
Will he ever escape Oil Drum Lane?
