A distraught Maddy runs out of the consultant's room after hearing she has cancer. Meanwhile, Spencer lashes out at Matt after hearing about Maddy. Oscar spots the altercation and asks Spencer what happened and Spencer tells him to speak to Maddy. Oscar takes Maddy back to hospital where Nate tells her chemotherapy is the best course of action, but they must act fast.
Ricky lashes out at Brax for his reckless actions and blurts out that that it's that type of behaviour that got Casey killed. Hurt, Brax storms off to Casey's grave. Ricky finds him and apologises for her outburst and the pair reconcile. Meanwhile, the police find Dean's dead body and the shovel Brax was holding when he confronted him…
Matt is jumping for joy at the thought of living with Sasha at university. Sasha, however, isn't doing cartwheels at the thought and tells him they may not even attend the same one. Convinced that they can handle the situation, Matt asks Leah if Sasha can move in and tries to bribe her with pizza.
